No Doubt

Nassir Little can do it all. At 6-foot-6 inches, the small forward from Oakleaf High School (Jacksonville, FL) has been terrorizing defenders on the UAA circuit with Showtime Hoops (FL). Although they went winless in the first three stages of the UAA circuit, Little showed a lot of promise and proved that he can be a valuable asset at the next level. With recent offers from Stanford and Virginia last month, Little should continue this success as he enters his junior year next season. “I haven’t been playing that long, but I’m excited that I’ve come so far in such a short amount of time.” says Little.

When Little started playing basketball at the age of 12, nobody could have expected such immediate success within his first few years, but through hard work and dedication to his craft, he has been able to cement his status as one of the nation’s best. Ranked by ESPN as the #50 player in the 2018 class, Little has made quite the impression on nearly everyone that has seen him play. “It’s just a blessing to play against good competition, get exposure so that I’m ready for the next level.” explained the standout forward.

Despite a 0-12 record in the UAA circuit, individually, Little was able to display a great amount of exposure and quickly emerged as a standout player. Known by few before this spring, Little became a premier name in the country. Something that has held him back until now has been injuries, as he says, “I broke my ankle last year and I’m coming off a sprained wrist now.” stated the highly touted recruit. “I’m trying to keep my body healthy so that I can play at a high level.”

If Little can continue playing at this high level, while also staying healthy, there is no doubt that he will rise through the ranks of the 2018 class. Displaying an aura of confidence on the court, it’s nearly impossible to get in his head. “ I’m confident in what I can do on the court,” Little emphasized. “ It’s just a matter of doing what I do in the gym and putting it into the game.”

Stressing the importance of hard work, Little constantly works on his game, and colleges continue to take notice. Now, with well over 10 offers, Little has begun to focus his attention towards the recruiting process, and it is clear that he knows what he wants: “I’m just looking for a school that will let me play on the wing, get out in transition, play hard on defense, and succeed academically.”

Although college is a large factor in Little’s motivation to play, his biggest motivation is the love for the game. Since the age of 12, his desire has only grown stronger and so has his talent. While his family stands by his side, Little’s love for the game takes him to new heights. “I’d do anything for the game,” he says. “I love the fans, I love my teammates, and I love the sport. I’m just blessed to be able to play because a lot of guys can’t.”

In a matter of years, Class of 2018 forward, Nassir Little has placed himself among high school basketball’s best, and there is nothing to suggest that he will be slowing down. Even with his team’s struggles on the UAA circuit, Little is definitely a player to watch for in the 2018 class. Nassir little is leaving “No Doubt”.
